INEC office in Abia burnt down by Arsonists

The Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) Office at Obingwa Local Government in Abia state has been reportedly burnt down by some group of young men that invaded the Local Government Headquarters .

According to an eye witness, one of the security men at the Independent Electoral Commission office Obingwa Local Government identified a leader of a popular party in the state as the leader of the arsonists. The forth coming election On the 10th of August could be the reason behind this fire out break  at the Independent Electoral Commission office in Abia State.

The Arsonists were seen with guns, axe, knives and other dangerous weapons as they forced their way into the local Government Headquarters.

Some security officers from the Nigerian Police Force, the Army and Civil Defence are already stationed at the Local Government Headquarters. Meanwhile, the road to Mkpoko, the local government host town  has been barricaded by security men.
