Breaking: Isis claims responsibility for London attack that killed at least three victims

The Isis (Islamic State Group) has claimed responsibility for the Westminster attack that left 22 victims dead and 60 victim injured in the heart of London.

A statement published by the terroris groups Amaq propaganda agency  on its social media channels said a "soldier of the Islamic State" had carried out the atrocity by the Houses of Parliament.

It said the man was following a call made by the group to launch attacks on civilians and security forces in countries allied to the US-led coalition bombing its territories in Syria and Iraq.

Isis frequently claims responsibility for terror attacks that it has not directly orchestrated or facilitated, but that are publicly linked to its ideology.

The wording of the statement mentioned no direct involvement in the attack, which investigators have said was inspired by Islamist terrorism.

Greater Manchester Police says the bomber was killed at the scene along side other victims and acted alone, but they are now investigating,if he had any help planning the attack.

A 23-year-old from south Manchester has been arrested in connection with the incident when everyone was asked to evacuate the shopping mall and he was the only one left inside the mall.
