Judge denies Brittney Griner's annulment request; Johnson reacts

A judge has rejected Brittney Griner's request to have her marriage to Glory Johnson annulled, according multiple reports. Johnson has responded to the judge's ruling.

A judge in Maricopa County has denied Brittney Griner's request to have her marriage annulled, according to multiple reports. Griner was seeking an annulment from her 28-day marriage to Glory Johnson.

Here is part of a report from TMZ, who first reported the news:

"Brittney Griner's attempt to annul her marriage was shot down in an Arizona court.

WNBA superstar Griner had filed for the annulment back in June ... right after fellow hoopster and wife, Glory Johnson, announced she was pregnant with twins. An AZ judge rejected the annulment case on Thursday.

It's unclear where that leaves the unhappy couple -- presumably headed for divorce court."

After the ruling, Johnson took to her Instagram to respond, posting this keen and implicit message:

It's not right to proclaim to The World that someone cheated on you, without having Legitimate Proof. I'm not that type of Person, never have been, never will be. #TrustIssues #SoThankful #Blessed #HonestyIsThePolicy

Johnson also spoke to multiple outlets including TMZ and has this say:

"I am thankful the annulment was rejected because an act of marriage did occur. "Together we made life changing decisions which impacted our lives collectively, and we both should be held responsible for those decisions."

This ruling is just another twist to the Griner and Johnson saga; one would surmise that this is not the last we've heard about this situation
