Wrestling legend ''Rowdy Roddy Piper'' dies at the age of 61

Professional wrestling champion "Rowdy" Roddy Piper has died at 61, World Wrestling Entertainment has confirmed his death.

 The WWE Hall of Famer passed away in his Hollywood, California home after suffering a cardiac arrest in his sleep on Thursday night. He was discovered on Friday morning 

Rowdy Piper, who also went by the name "Hot Rod," had been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2006 but laster said that he was cancer free.

He also acted in a number of Hollywood films and TV shows, his most successful film having been the 1988 sci-fi cult classic, "They Live," directed by John Carpenter.

 Piper’s own Cinderella Story began at the age of 15 when he took on Larry “The Axe” Hennig but spectacularly lost in just 10 seconds’ time.
